Bournemouth Airport management have indicated the proposed increase in charges for the coming year (April 2012 to March 2013).
Local AOPA representative, John Murray, and Airtime's Kevin Churchill were among a number of people who met with the airport's Patrick Alexander (Commercial and Marketing Director) in an effort to persuade the airport to keep charges at their present level or even reduce them.
It appears that the views of airport users were taken into account. Perhaps the meetings made little difference to the airport's original proposals but a few minor gains may have been made - at least the discount for based aircraft remains in place and a new landing card is available.
By 31st March 2012, the requirements to carry a Mode S Transponder will become more onerous. Existing exemptions from the requirement to carry Mode S are due to expire and access to controlled airspace will be restricted if your old Mode C transponder has not been replaced.
We have for hire a Cessna 152 for only £90.00 per hour wet. The includes the landing fee at Bournemouth and we are providing a QFI if you require differences training a SEP revalidation or a currency check.
