Miles Messenger - PanshangerPanshanger aerodrome closed on 20 September 2014 with the landowner Mariposa Investments intending to build new homes on the land. Since then there has been a great deal of effort by supporters to re-open the airfield because, amongst many other reasons, the aerodrome was a great economic and social asset. A potential reprieve was reported on 28 July 2016 with the local Council offering a mixed use option with general aviation activities, alongside a smaller number of new houses, on the north part of the airfield site.

To ensure a new Panshanger rises from the ashes Project Phoenix has been launched and they need your help - just by signing up on their website is your way of saying you support this project. You can also donate to the cause if you feel passionate enough.
